"The Street". At the end Butchers Hill is to the right. The Rose and Crown, looking towards Butchers Hill which leads to the gates of the church of St. Peter and St. Paul. St. Catherine's house is privately occupied. It contains many original features but is rarely open to view.

Pipe's Place is now used as an old peoples home. Parts of it date from the 15th century. It is directly opposite St. Catherine's house.

St. Katherine's is a 13th century Roman Catholic Chapel. It was used as a malthouse for about three hundred years following the Catholic suppression in the16th cenury. It has been restored and is still used as a chapel.

The church of St. Peter and Paul originates from the 13th century. The earliest architecture is Saxon with later additions mainly from the 14th century. The tower and Bethersden marble font are 15th century.
