Freight Train - Basic Lick Part 2

Now for the refrain. We are going to change the basic lick slightly. Play it first on strings 2 - 6 using chord C. You need the full chord with string 6 pressed at the third fret for it to sound right.

Now for a variation which will come in handy for other songs.
Start by plucking strings 2 and 5 together. Go through the lick but miss off the last note. Simple to say but hard to do.

You now need to avoid playing both strings 1 and 6 so play 5 instead of 6. This is so that you can use the C7 chord higher up the neck. I also alter the rythm slightly. 2

Now play the same C7 shape 4 frets up so that your index finger is at fret 5. This is E7. 2
